Our ambulances are designed as mobile treatment platforms, not simply transportation. Progressive EMS protocols and training allow our EMTs and paramedics to practice at the full scope of their license, bringing advanced assessment, monitoring, treatment, and resuscitation capabilities directly to the patient when minutes matter.

Built for Advanced Care
LIFEPAK 35 cardiac monitors, transport ventilators, Sapphire infusion pumps, LUCAS mechanical CPR devices, video laryngoscopy, and advanced adult and pediatric clinical decision-support tools equip our clinicians to deliver high-level care to critically ill and injured patients from first contact through transport.
Prehospital Blood Resuscitation
Our clinicians can initiate blood resuscitation before hospital arrival using prehospital blood products, LifeFlow rapid infusion, and active blood warming. In a rural system, that means beginning critical treatment where the patient is, not waiting for the emergency department.

Paramedic Response Support
Our Med Com paramedic response unit provides additional ALS capability on high-acuity calls, supports EMT and Advanced EMT crews, and can add another experienced clinician when patient condition or scene complexity demands it.

Gilmer County Fire/Rescue helped launch a tri-county prehospital blood administration program, putting field transfusion capability within reach of patients who need it most.
