Accessibility Statement.

This statement reflects a good-faith internal review, not a third-party audit or formal certification. We are not claiming full legal certification of ADA or Section 508 compliance — we're telling you plainly what we've done and where we know we still fall short, and we'll keep improving from here.

What's in place:

• A "Skip to main content" link at the top of every page for keyboard users.
• Descriptive text alternatives on informational images; purely decorative images are hidden from screen readers.
• A single, clearly ordered heading (page title) on every page, with subheadings that follow a logical structure.
• Visible keyboard-focus outlines on links, buttons, and form fields — nothing is only clickable with a mouse.
• Labeled form fields on the contact form, including error and success messaging.
• Support for reduced-motion preferences — visitors who've asked their device to limit animation get a calmer version of the page's motion effects automatically.
• Page zoom and text resizing left enabled (we never disable browser/device zoom).
• A sitewide search (the magnifying-glass icon in the header, or press /) as a faster alternative to navigating menus.

Known limitations:

• A handful of older photos in the Gallery predate our current photo-captioning workflow and may have shorter alt text than our current standard.
• The embedded Google Map on the Contact section is a third-party tool; its interaction pattern is controlled by Google, not by us. The same station addresses are also listed as plain text nearby for anyone who prefers not to use the interactive map.
• Some pages use decorative background imagery applied through CSS rather than an <img> tag; this is intentional for purely atmospheric photography, but we periodically double-check that no meaningful content is conveyed only that way.
• We test primarily with current versions of major browsers and common screen readers; we can't guarantee a perfect experience on every older or less common assistive technology.
